I was going to do the history of the X-Box. Sounds like a great topic, doesn't it? But I need more time to do it justice and also...it was already written.

For the letter X, I resorted to getting out a book I have, ironically titled “Writing A to Z.” There was only one term in it for X.

Xenophobia: The fear or hatred toward, foreigners or strangers.

The book states that this fear can cause one to be limited in their writing. In other words, it’s important to become familiar with other cultures in order to broaden your viewpoint.

Come to think of it, I haven’t had the opportunity to go to other countries, except I’ve been to Canada and Mexico once. I would like to visit England and Australia. How about you? Where have you been so far? Where would you like to go?

I've lived in several foreign countries and visited many more. It does broaden one's view.

I've only been to Canada and it was terrible.

Xenophobia makes me sad. I never considered that someone who has it could have trouble writing though. Interesting.

The only way around this is to get out and experience other cultures. People are people, doesn't matter who or where they are...and you'll find good and bad. I've lived in Malaysia and traveled a lot, and found things in common with people I met.
