T is for Thankful

If I find myself feeling frustrated, I make a list of things I’m thankful for and it makes things seem a whole lot better. I know it sounds very simple, but it works. The following is just the writer type things that are positive.

I’m very thankful for is every reader I’ve managed to acquire. It amazes me that people have taken the time to try an unknown author. Then the surprise grows when sometimes I get a good review.

I’m also thankful just to have the ability to finish a novel (although some might disagree).

I’m thankful for my writing friends, the betas…the bloggers. I’ve met a lot of great people just by doing something I love. My critique partners have taken a lot of time helping a person they never even met beyond cyberspace. Now that’s amazing.

It is amazing, isn't it? My two test readers live in my city, but I've not met my critique partners in person.

There is a lot for all of us to be thankful for. I tend to forget that sometimes.

We should be thankful for the little things because that's all most of us have, unless you're Bill Gates or someone like that who can afford a gold-plated yacht the size of an aircraft carrier. Then I'd be thankful for big things.

A great thankful list. I haven't done this for a while, but it is a really good exercise, and really does help change your perspective.

Very good "T" topic. Thanks for reminding me that we should always accentuate the positive.
