K is for Knight as in Eternal Knight and Writing Update.

Just a small writing update. I’m leaning toward writing something other than Vallar 3. This last week, I’ve gotten all involved in writing a historical fantasy with a hint of steampunk. The ideas for this have been coming fast, and I don’t want to stop. I’m writing it at as a short story first with plans to submit to a paying magazine. If it’s accepted, I will still be able to turn it into a novel. Either way, that’s the plan.

The next project is going to be a prequel to Seer of Mars that will be about 50K words. So in general, Vallar 3 could be further off than I originally planned. It also just depends on interest level as far as Vallar is concerned.

Eternal Knight was reviewed on Good Book Alert. 5 Stars.

Summary:

Hadde of Landomere is a huntress who has sworn to protect and provide for her people. But when the Wasting brings famine and destruction, she must leave the forest of Landomere to seek aid in the distant Kingdom of Salador.

Hadde’s mission is fraught with peril. Silver-eyed warriors assail her, brigands wait in ambush, and even the Saladorans pose their own dangers.

The return of the Orb of Creation and an unlikely alliance with a Saladoran prince transform Hadde’s mission from one to save her village to one to save the world.

That sounds like a good plan. Milo has certainly done well with short stories. And if that's the story that's pulling on you, then write it!

Steampunk is very hot right now. I can't wait to see how the prequel turns out.
